Originally my sister Betty and I were planning a cross country road trip, but we soon discovered there was just too much to see just in the west part of the U.S. We will be spending time at many of our National Parks and Monuments, but will also stop to visit with some friends and family along the way.

Heading toward Salt Lake City
On our way to Salt Lake City, we drove past the Bonneville salt flats where one goes to set land speed records. The road is long, flat, and you can drive 80 mph.
